5) Turnaround Times

Turnaround times depend on the size of the project and workload.

We’ll always confirm your delivery date in writing, but typical ranges are:

  • Blog post: 3–5 working days

  • Web page: 3–7 working days

  • Full website copy: 7–14+ working days

Deadlines may change if:

  • information is provided late

  • the brief changes mid-project

  • revisions are delayed

7) Cancellations & Rescheduling

If you need to cancel or reschedule after booking:

  • Your deposit secures time in the diary and is non-refundable once work has started.

  • If you cancel before work begins, we can move your booking once to a new date (subject to availability).

If a project is paused for more than 30 days due to missing information or lack of response, we may close the project and quote separately to restart.

9) Ownership & Portfolio Use

Until full payment is received, all copy remains the property of Commercial Copy Studio.

Once paid in full, you receive a licence to use the final approved copy for your business marketing.

We may reference the work in our portfolio (e.g., screenshots or a short example) unless you request confidentiality in writing.

11) Acceptance of Terms

By paying your deposit or invoice, you confirm you have read and accepted these terms.

Commercial Copy Studio – Client Terms

Last updated: 24 January 2026
These terms apply to all copywriting and content writing work provided by Commercial Copy Studio (“we”, “us”, “our”) for the client (“you”, “your”).

1) Booking & Payment

To begin work, we require a deposit to secure your booking.

Standard payment options:

  • 50% upfront / 50% on approval (before final delivery)
    OR

  • 100% upfront for smaller one-off jobs (e.g., single blog posts or small edits)

Work begins once the deposit (or full payment) has cleared.

2) Drafts, Approval & Usage Rights

Any copy we send you as a draft is provided for review purposes only.

Important:
✅ You may review and request edits
❌ You may not publish, copy, distribute, or use the draft content until the final balance is paid

Usage rights transfer only once full payment is received.

This protects both sides and is standard practice in professional copywriting.

3) How We Send Drafts

Drafts are usually shared via:

  • View-only document link (recommended), or

  • Watermarked PDF (if preferred)

Final approved copy is delivered in an editable format (Google Doc / Word / plain text), once payment is complete.

4) Revisions (Edits)

Your project includes:

  • Up to 2 rounds of revisions (unless stated otherwise in your quote)

Revisions cover adjustments to wording, tone, clarity, and structure based on the agreed brief.

Revisions do not include:

  • major changes to the original brief

  • writing for a different service or audience than agreed

  • extra pages/content not included in the quote

Additional work will be quoted separately before we proceed.

6) What We Need From You

To deliver the best copy, you may need to provide:

  • your services and pricing (if applicable)

  • your service areas (towns/regions)

  • examples of competitors you like/dislike

  • photos, branding guidelines, or tone preferences

  • access to your current website (optional)

If key details are missing, we may pause the project until they’re received.

8) Late Payment

Invoices are due as stated on the invoice (typically 7 days unless otherwise agreed).

If payment is late:

  • final files and usage rights may be withheld until the invoice is paid

  • we may apply reasonable late payment charges in line with UK business practice

10) Liability

We take care to write accurate, professional content. However:

  • we are not responsible for losses caused by how the copy is used, changes made by third parties, or website performance/technical issues

  • you are responsible for ensuring claims, pricing, and compliance details are correct for your business
